Today, I attended RBCC's Doing Business in Russia Panel and Networking event hosted by Dentons in their London offices in Farringdon with some stunning views of the City. The panel was represented by leading financiers, economists, experts in law and IT.
Even though some businesses have suffered as a result of latest Russian legislation, sanctions and the drop in oil price, others, on the contrary, have flourished and made full use of the window of opportunity. Martin Menzel, Sales Manager at the Moscow office of IExcellerate, a datacentre operator in Moscow, commented that the latest Russian law about storing all personal data of the Russian citizens on the Russian soil led to an influx of new customers and meant a significant increase in sales volume. Nick Graham, Global Co-Chair of Dentons' Privacy and Security Group, shared a similar trend taking place in the law practice.
The gift bag was the best part of the day, of course:) Dentons has given away some amazing portable phone chargers. It has definitely been a while since I had such a useful giveaway.
