17 November 2015
November seems to be the busiest month of the year for networking! The number of events taking place daily is difficult to track but my favourite one remains Russians in the City Drinks on the rooftop. Well, in view of obvious weather conditions this time it wasn't quite the rooftop that was offered at Fieldfisher's terrace in July, but not any less attractive with the views not any less jaw-dropping Winter Garden in the offices of a leading professional consultancy, KPMG, in Canary Wharf.
Russians in the City is a private members' club established in 2002 for Russian-speaking professionals based in global financial centres (London, Monaco, Zurich, Moscow and Hongkong).
The November event gathered professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, including finance, law, IT, hospitality, sports, education, you name it. Guests were welcomed by Alex Stepanyants, Senior Manager, Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance Services, who introduced the team and their work.
Although some of the guests seemed to know each other very well, there were a lot of newbies too, so there was something to please everyone, be it a good old chat with a friend (maybe even from a different country), meeting potential new clients or even chatting someone up. Thank you, Ksenia and the RIC team for putting on a killer meet-up!
